The Profile Page is your central hub for managing your operator identity and tracking your activity on Byzantine Finance. On this page, you can:
Define public information about yourself or your organization.
View all the bids you’ve made, including active and winning bids.
Track your Distributed Validator (DV) Clusters and their statuses.
Every profile has its own unique URL, which looks like this:
https://operator.byzantine.fi/profile/<ADDRESS>
Replace <ADDRESS>
with either your wallet address (to view your profile) or the address of another operator to see their public profile.
There are two main ways to access a profile page:
1. From the Top-Right Menu
On any page of the dApp, click on your wallet address in the top-right corner.
This will open a dropdown menu, where you can click "Your Profile" to navigate to your personal profile.
2. By Clicking an Address Link
You can also access profile pages by clicking on wallet addresses wherever they appear in the app. For example:
On the Auction Page, when viewing the list of bidders.
On the Clusters Dashboard, where addresses of node operators are listed. These links will take you directly to the corresponding profile page.
Byzantine Finance currently only allows whitelisted operators to ensure the reliability and security of Distributed Validators (DVs). To become a whitelisted operator, contact us via Discord or Twitter to request approval for your address. Once approved, you will be able to place bids in the auction and join DV clusters. (Your profile will also display a whitelisted badge, indicating trustworthiness and on-chain verification.)
Please note that Byzantine aims to become fully permissionless in the future. Once this happens, anyone will be able to participate by depositing a 1 ETH bond per cluster as collateral. For more details, check the DVT security documentation here.
The Profile Page is divided into four key sections. Below is a detailed breakdown of what each section does:
This section displays the Name, Description, and Location associated with the operator’s profile. These details help users understand who the operator is, what they do, and where their operations are based. Knowing the geographical location is especially useful, as large distances between operators can introduce delays in validator synchronization.
If the profile is whitelisted, a verification badge will appear. This on-chain badge confirms that the profile has been reviewed and is considered trustworthy by Byzantine Finance.
Note: This feature is currently under active development and may still contain bugs. If you encounter any issues, please reach out to us on Discord, and we’ll work with you to resolve them as quickly as possible.
This section is only visible if you are logged in and viewing your own profile. Here, you can update the following fields to improve your visibility and transparency as an operator:
Name: A short identifier that helps others recognize your profile.
Description: A brief summary that can include details about your role, expertise, or links to your website or social media.
Location: The physical location of your servers. Knowing the geographical distribution of operators helps evaluate latency risks and can improve coordination.
Providing this information is optional but can make it easier for others to understand who you are and the role you play while enhancing your reputation and brand as a professional operator.
You can also link your Discord account in this section to streamline communication within clusters. This integration allows you to join private Discord channels automatically, ensuring smoother coordination between cluster members. Additionally, you can add multiple Discord accounts to your profile, enabling multiple members of your organization to participate in these channels. To link your Discord:
Click the Link Discord button.
Follow the prompts to authenticate via Discord and link your account(s).
If you encounter any issues during the process, feel free to contact us on Discord for assistance.
